“Twisted” Card RPG Sultan’s Game Hits...

“Twisted” narrative-based card RPG Sultan’s Game has managed to hit a major sales milestone just a few months after its release, developer Double Cross and publisher 2P Games have announced.

Per a press release, Sultan’s Game has hit a million sales on Steam. As a reminder, the game racked up 100,000 sales within its first 48 hours on release, so that means it’s picked up another 900,000 for itself in the interim.

In addition to revealing the new sales milestone, Sultan’s Game developer Double Cross also teased what’s coming next for the game, and if you’re a fan, you’ll be pleased to know it’s far from over; there’s plenty in the pipeline, in fact.

Sultan’s Game has reached a million copies sold.

First up, a new crowdfunded character “brought to life through community input” will make their debut in Sultan’s Game in August, and “fan-favorite characters like vagrant leader Raed and the Court Physician” will also have their backstories fleshed out.

Following that, you can also look forward to two brand new endings, along with epilogues to go with them. Existing epilogues for current endings will also be expanded, although we don’t have an estimate of when those expanded epilogues will be arriving yet.

If you’re a Sultan’s Game modder or you’re interested in trying out some mods for the game, you’ll be pleased to know that expanded Steam Workshop support is also coming, which Double Cross and 2P Games say will allow you to “peruse the Gallery for more collectibles, and craft custom experiences”.

If you’re not familiar with Sultan’s Game, it’s an RPG inspired by the classic Middle Eastern folktale collection One Thousand and One Nights. The game sees you drawing cards, completing challenges, and making “dreadful choices to save your own life”.

You can check out Sultan’s Game right now on PC via Steam.
