Buried City 2
Upon delivering the first letter to the Basilica, you’ll be told the location of the second letter: The Realm of the Dead.
To find the Buried City for this one, head out of Riverside Village and at the Lookout Point, turn West to find a ruined and spooky-looking castle.
Head in and follow the mark on the map and compass to reach a cave, where you’ll find Sir Eddler waiting.
Enter the Buried City here.
This time, you have three symbols and only one red cube. The cube can be found to the northwest of the area.
Copy-and-paste the ‘slash’ symbol onto the red cube first, which stops the ball from falling off the ledge.
Then, copy-and-paste the ‘triangle’ symbol onto the very same extruded red cube. This pushed the ball into the socket.
Exit the Buried City once you’re done.
Entering the Farm
Next, we need to acquire a straw bale. Head out of the cave the way you came and make your way to the northeast area of the map, where you’ll find The Farm.
Head on into the Farm and talk to Hickory. Then, go back the way you came and enter the frozen cave you passed on your way to the Farm.
To open the gate in the cave, pay attention to the straw weights above it. Copy stone and paste them onto the weights to lower them.
The right-hand-side weight will be blocked by a stone pillar, so copy wood and paste it on the pillar, then break the pillar.
Enter the inner cave. In here, copy lava and paste it on the pool of water to eliminate the shark.
Acquiring a Bale
You can now enter the farm, so head over to where Sir Eddler is beside the bale garages. After talking to him, head east from the garages to find a bale of straw on a truck.
Talk to the bear Bally, who’s standing near the truck, to learn more about the bale.
To get this bale, we’ll need to grab it at night while it’s being aired out unattended. But before we do that, we’ll need to turn day to night.
To do this, we need to manipulate the clock tower in the village of Riverside, so head out of the farm and back to the village.
Head to the center of the village and climb the ladders to the right of the clock tower.
Climb onto the green roof and look toward the clock tower to find another ladder going up.
Climb this ladder and head to the front of the clock tower, where you’ll find the face of the clock.
Here, you simply have to copy the ‘night’ half and paste it on the ‘day’ half. However, once you do this, you will have to hightail it to the Farm as quickly as possible. If you don’t make it to the Farm in time, the change will revert and you will have to return to the village and climb up the tower again.
Once you’re in the Farm, head back to where you saw the bale on the truck. Jump on the bale to ‘drive’ it out of the farm.
Then, return to the garages and hide the bale in the empty garage.
A Day at the Races
The next morning, talk to Sir Eddler and then retrieve your bale from the garage. Drive it over to the registration desk near the finish line of the race track.
Participate in the race once, and you’ll lose rather handily, as it turns out. This means we need to manipulate the race track to our advantage.
From the finish line of the race track, go east to find a ditch full of mud. Copy this mud and paste it on the water further east on the track.
From here, go South past the stands to find a water tower.
Climb the ladder up to the top of the water tower and hit the valve to let the water flow into the ditch.
Now go to the opposite side of the race track and go west to find another water tower. As before, climb it and hit the valve.
Next, copy mud and paste it onto these two new water pools that you created, so that there is no water on the ditches in the track, only mud.
Return to your bale and register for the race a second time. This time, you have the advantage. However, you must use the rails to really win the race.
If you lose, simply register again for another race until you win.
The Realm of the Dead and the Crypt
After winning the race, you’ll be able to drive the bale out of the Farm, so do just that and make your way back to the cave entrance to the Realm of the Dead.
Use your bale to cross the rail and then, leave it behind and climb up the ladder.
Continue through the skull-shaped entrance to the Realm of the Dead.
There’s a lot of ghosts to talk to here, but the important one is just to the left of the entrance of the graveyard.
Talk to Anselm and you’ll be assigned a secret mission. However, to fulfill it, you first need to find the numerical code to enter the crypt.
You can talk to other ghosts to get clues on the code. The actual code is ‘8228’. Copy the 8 from the grave ranked 8, and paste it in position 1 and 4. Then, copy the 2 from position 2 and paste it in position 3.
Head into the crypt once it’s open.
The Grave Contest
Here you’ll enter a stealth section. Avoid touching the ghosts and also avoid their line of sight to proceed. If you’re caught, you’ll freeze and restart at a checkpoint within the stealth section.
Move while the ghosts have their backs turned to you as much as possible. Once you’re through the stealth section, you’ll find yourself in a room with three doors.
Here, simply copy the green color from the carpet and apply it to the two doors that the green carpet leads to.
Head through the hole in the wall to finally eavesdrop on the judges.
Once you’re back to Anselm, copy the colors needed and paste them on each of the three flowers on Anselm’s grave.
You can get Red from Grave #6, Blue from Grave #2, and Yellow from Grave #1.
Once this is done, head through the portal to return to the village with the second letter.
Go south from the village and return to the Basilica to restore the letter and also learn where to find the third letter.
