Iron Gate aka Jojo037 has created a number of games throughout the years, games such as The Zing, The Real Brus Lii and Mini Legión to name but a few that we’ve mentioned on Indie Retro News. But while I have been a bit disgruntled over featuring any of his newest titles, considering the backlash I get of mentioning sluggish frame rates, and always developed using Backbone (Even if the graphics are decent enough). I still thought it was worth mentioning his latest titles of Space Patrol and Agente 357. Two games you can see in the latest footage below.
And here’s the details about both of these games from the website. “I wanted to make a game where a woman patrolled space in search of aliens who would break the galactic peace. This woman would be armed with a laser gun. I wanted the design to be reminiscent of the serials and movies of the ’60s, where space technology had its own stylized designs. It took me time to document myself, especially in comics; for the look and for the graphics I was based on games from the 80s, the classic platform arcades. I always like to add something new to my games, this time the character is capable of shooting in 8 directions, that allows you to go with your laser gun where other games don’t and in this game you will need it, since there are flying enemies that, if it were not for these movements, would be out of the player’s reach. The game is designed in 32 colors. The controls are on both the keyboard and the joystick”.

“This game was intended as the third of the mini trilogy, mini swat, mini desert, which was the mini Legion and finally the Mini polar, although there was also mini Zorro, that game was designed after this one. The game was in its first phase in the snow and they had to fight the zombies inside a laboratory base. With that argument I created Agent 357. The game has 3 levels, and a few types of enemies, in addition to zombies, you have to overcome other types of dangers… Even the facility guards will not be your friends, they will not hesitate to shoot you”.
